Gulf of Porto – Calanques of Piana – Capo Rosso – Genoese Towers
Short Excursion from Cargèse
Embark on the Puntiglio (departing from the Port of Cargèse) for a short, intimate 2-hour boat trip to discover one of Corsica's most magnificent sites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the Calanques of Piana. This pink granite coast will astound you (only three pink granite coasts in the world) with its uniqueness and charm. This color takes on a special dimension at the end of the day. Since these rocks are already predominantly pink/red, the interplay of light at the end of the day reveals the vibrant hues of the place.
You will enter another world, thanks to our small boats that allow us to be close to the natural elements. We will be able to navigate through sea caves, close to the rocks, and slip into the smallest nooks and crannies. At its base, you can admire the breathtaking Capo Rosso and its natural pool, nestled in the heart of the Calanques. All this in complete safety thanks to the precise maneuvers of our pilot. A native of the region, Raphaëlle will share historical insights about Corsica and local anecdotes. She will provide you with all the information she can regarding the preservation of this magnificent ecosystem.
The excursion begins at the end of the day, allowing you to admire the sunset at the end of the trip. A Corsican aperitif (wine and charcuterie) will be served in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by music and, above all, the sounds of nature. The Calanques of Piana tour takes place several times a day, depending on the season. Contact us by phone or come see us at the port of Cargèse (Cargèse Croisières kiosk, opposite the jet ski base) for advice on the excursion (light, less crowded times, weather, best time to observe marine mammals, etc.).
There are also fewer people at sea at the end of the day (or in the morning :-)).
Bring your camera, swimsuit and towel, hats, and a smile!
Bonus: Swimming stop depending on weather conditions.
