for Nature
Environmental preservation
Through our trips, we introduce you to a fragile and wonderful ecosystem. Raising awareness about environmental preservation is, in our opinion, a fundamental subject that we develop during our trips. We will try to convey to you our love and admiration for nature, while adopting good practices that contribute, on our scale, to being in harmony with it.
Les 'bateliers de Scandola' (boatmen of Scandola)
Our objectives are to defend the interests of Scandola's boatmen, but also to encourage the eco-responsible involvement of maritime professionals and to collaborate with local and public initiatives in charge of protected areas, and in particular the Scàndula reserve. We are particularly committed to the protection of the osprey, by respecting a quiet zone during the nesting and breeding period.
The natura 2000 charter
The charter of a Natura 2000 site consists of a list of commitments contributing to the achievement of the conservation objectives defined for habitats and species of community interest. The commitments relate to management practices for land included in the Natura 2000 site by owners and operators, or to sports or leisure practices that respect natural habitats and species.
Pelagos agreement
The Pelagos Sanctuary is the only international maritime zone dedicated to the protection of marine mammals and their habitats in the Mediterranean. It was created by a multilateral agreement between France, Italy, and the Principality of Monaco, signed in Rome in 1999 and which entered into force in 2002. The objective is to promote harmonized management actions and measures for the protection of cetaceans and their habitats against all possible causes of disturbance and mortality of human origin (pollution, noise, accidental captures, injuries, etc.).
